Osagami Fudoson Daishoji Temple
Introduction
As a Buzan sect of Shingon Buddhism , the temple is dedicated to Fudo Myo-o (Acala). This ancient temple founded in 750 during the Tempyo Shoho era by the Buddhist monk Roben is said to be the oldest temple in Koshigaya. The temple name plate was cited to be from the brush of councilor Matsudaira Sadanobu. The temple gate, Hojo's Code, Ieyasu Tokugawa's bedclothes and Japanese bay tree (machilus thunbergii) are designated as Koshigaya's cultural assets.
