Oyoshi Reservoir is water intake facility built in order to reduce flood damages from overflows of Niigata River. The reservoir can accumulate up to 400 thousand cubic meters of water. To provide a space where people can interact with nature in ordinary times , it is maintained as a water park which restores a freshwater ecosystem . In addition , on the embankment , a 1200m jogging track with a top down view ofthe pond was constructed . The track has used by a lot of citizens as a place for health promotion.
